Hello! My name is Courtney and I am a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) working with couples and individuals.
I completed my Master of Arts in Counselling and Psychotherapy at Yorkville University, along with an undergraduate degree from Carleton University.
What matters most to me in our sessions
together is creating a safe, supportive space where clients feel truly seen and understood.
With couples, I support partners in strengthening their connection, navigating family planning, healing from relational wounds, and building secure, lasting bonds.
With individuals, I help clients manage stress, anxiety, and life’s challenges through a balance of emotional insight and practical strategies.
My approach is integrative, drawing from CBT, ACT, EFT, DBT, and Psychodynamic
Therapy—tailored to the unique needs of each client. Clients often share that they value my warm, empathetic presence combined with solution-focused strategies that foster clarity, resilience, and confidence. On a personal note - I am a mother, an avid runner, and a former ballet dancer - I’ve come to value the qualities of focus, determination, and patience through all these roles and I bring these
same qualities into my work with clients. I know that growth and change take both perseverance and compassion, and my goal is to hold space that always reflects both.
At the heart of my work is the belief that everyone has the capacity for growth and meaningful change. I’m committed to breaking down the stigma around therapy and helping people build lives that feel balanced, connected, and fulfilling.

Hello! My name is Katie MacDonald, MSW, RSW and I am a Registered Social Worker providing psychotherapy therapy in Ontario.
Individuals are moved to pursue therapy for a variety of reasons. You may find that you are lacking in resilience, feeling “stuck” in patterns that aren’t working for you, or are enticed by the prospect of living a life aligned with your true values, but are unsure of how to get there. Whatever the reason, I am here to meet you where you’re at. I am experienced in working with a variety of issues including anxiety, depression, self-esteem, adjustment, parenting, family issues and life transitions. I have an interest in working with individuals who find themselves in over-functioning patterns (i.e. over managing, over helping) in important relationships in their lives.
In addition to supporting adults, I welcome the opportunity to work with youth and children (10+). I am experienced at helping my clients recognize the connection between their thoughts, feelings and behaviours, learning to manage difficult emotions, improve relationships in their lives and find their own motivation to make changes that are important to them. My approach is integrative, strengths-based, creative, flexible and I draw upon what best suits your needs from session to session. In my practice, I anchor to anti-oppressive, trauma-informed and LGBTQ2S+ positive values.
Outside of private practice, I worked at a large teaching hospital where I have spent 14 years assessing and treating children, youth and young adults with mood and anxiety concerns, behavioural difficulties, substance use concerns and early psychosis. Additionally, I have vast experience supporting parents and other family members who are caring for a loved one struggling with mental health issues.
